Welcome to the FOWSA section.
FOWSA - Friends of Woodlands School Association
Who we are and what we do!
All parents and carers are automatically members of FOWSA.
The objectives of FOWSA are to engage in activities or provide facilities or equipment which support and advance the education of our pupils and to develop effective relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school.
FOWSA regularly organise social activities including children's discos, an annual summer fair, Christmas event, family nights/bbq and others. In the last school year we raised just under £5,000. We made a donation of over £5000 towards the extension to the Junior trim trail and one of just over £2,000 to pay for some consultancy work in the copse area.
This school year our aim is to raise further funds to contribute towards the improvements to the outside play areas, specifics of which are still to be agreed..
UPDATE APRIL 2015 - FOWSA has paid for a shed for KS1 to store resources for lunchtime creative play.
