Hi there, i went to Woodlands roundabout 1971- 1975. I looked the site up tonight for some reason after talking to my elderly father about the "old days" and saw this message board. One of the messages said about the peacocks and the animals and it brought back lovely memories! I can remember the rabbits and the birds - it was amazing. the courtyard in my memory was just as it is when i have looked at the photos on the site I can't remember blue hats though???

Hi All,
In 1982 I was lucky eneough to be a student visiting from Australia at your school as my father was a visiting professor at the local university.
Well it is almost 30 years and I still have very fond memories of going to school at Woodlands Primary.

Hopefully I will be able to make the trip over to England again in a few years. And I would love to pop in and say hi.

Regards,
Bradley Sharpe

I went to Woodlands in 1976. I was only there a year before we moved away from the area. I remember the peacocks we had in the courtyard, I remember sports day and still have my certificates! And i am sure we wore blue hats, i can't recall what the boys wore, if indeed they did. Maybe someone could find out and post a picture in a history section on here?

Just thought I would drop in to my old school. I am now a Senior Lecturer at Kent University and a College Master. I was part of the gymnastic team when I was a pupil (1970-74). Lovely to see the old courtyard still going strong - we had lots of birds and animals in there...old memories die hard
best wishes
Rachel
