We just wanted to pass on our congratulations to our wonderful school cook, Holly Charnock, for being awarded a commendation in the regional finals of the 2017 School Chef of the Year competition. She received this award for her sticky toffee apple pudding with Chantilly Cream & caramel sauce - we're so pleased for Holly as this award is great recognition for her hard-working & enthusiastic approach not only to cooking in this prestigious competition but also to providing fabulously tasty & healthy meals each day at Woodlands.
Tony Snell (from Radio Merseyside) also popped into school for an hour to talk to Holly & a few pupils about the competition, school dinners & healthy eating.
Some of you may have spotted Holly on Granada Reports too - her food looked great but I can assure you it tastes even better!
