Look Ma, I'm on top of the world!

We just wanted to congratulate one our pupils, Oliver, who completed a wonderful challenge for charity during the summer break.

Oliver chose to raise money for the Whitechapel Centre who help homeless people on Merseyside; he always asks his parents for change to give to the homeless as it upsets him to see people living on the streets.

Oliver’s mum & dad spoke to him about maybe raising money by completing a challenge. Did he choose something simple such as not eating sweets for a week or staying silent for a day? No. Nothing that mundane for Oliver – he decided to hike up (& down) Snowdon! So at the end August Oliver set off and completed his challenge, trekking to the summit of Snowdon (1085m). In doing so he raised over £600 for the Whitechapel Centre; I’m sure they will be thrilled to receive such a large amount of money.

I know Oliver’s mum & dad are very proud of him – we are too.

Well done Oliver, you are a STAR!
