This half-term we are going to be using Oak Academy to deliver the Literacy lessons. The first story is ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and one that your child will probably be familiar with. The unit lasts for 2 weeks and focuses on listening, retelling, setting, characterisation and re-writing the story. Each day a video lesson will be uploaded onto the website for your child to watch and in some cases complete a small activity afterwards. We will sometimes ask for these activities to be uploaded on a daily basis and not just once a week. We hope that these lessons are easier for you to deliver and encourages your child to work more independently. The Oak Academy lessons are used by all other year groups in the school and link to our topic on ‘Traditional Tales’.
