Being Imaginative

Week beginning 16th November

This week is Anti Bullying week. On Monday the children are coming to school in odd socks. Why not wear odd socks around the house! Perhaps your child could design a pair of odd/funny socks.

This week we are also looking at how Divali is celebrated. We are encouraging the children to use Google to search key words for information and pictures. Please help your child to find out about the festival of Divali. They could design their own Rangoli pattern and talk about the shapes they can see.

Rice is easy to colour using food colouring and a zip lock food bag. You may like to try using coloured rice to make a pattern.

We are making Diva lamps in school. You could easily make your own at home using salt dough.
