New Home Learning activities
We are all really missing you and hope you have been enjoying some of the tasks and activities that we have set so far. As you can see, from 20th April, we will set activity ideas on a weekly basis to provide a bit more structure to your learning at home.
Maths has been split by year group but English work has been set for everybody to have a go at.
We have also posted the new Takeaway Menu which you can choose activities from - we suggest you complete two of these tasks per week rather than just one!
Remember to continue to enjoy reading. Don't forget to access the EPIC reading site as well as reading your own books: go to www.getepic.com/students and enter the class code sju2424, then select your child's name to access their account. We have assigned a number of fiction and non-fiction books to each child some of which have comprehension style questions/quizzes attached.
Please continue to practise spellings as normal. We have provided the Year 5 and 6 spelling list below.
Your child has been provided with a logon for spag.com. This site allows children to have a go at multiple choice grammar style questions in line with national expectations
Your child has been provided with a logon for TTRockstars. This brilliant site allows children to practise their times tables: it assesses their knowledge and increases in difficulty in line with their achievements.
Why not head over to our Timestable Rock Stars section of the website and see how well your class or house is doing in competition! See who the MVPs of each match is and see who has won the weekly challenges!! https://www.woodlandsschoolformby.co.uk/timestable-rock-stars/
Don't forget, if you have any queries about any of the above, please email us at email@example.com.
