On the 11th of February 2020, we celebrated Safer Internet Day. During the day, the school followed the theme of, ' Free to be me', discussing how we can use the internet for positive means and how we can all come together to make the internet a safer place for everyone.
In Reception, the children discussed how they can use the internet in a positive manner, making bunting with all the different ways that they can use the internet.}
In Years 1 & 2, the discussion surrounded how children can use the internet in a positive way and how they can be positive with their friend online.
Years 3 & 4 focussed on the impact social media can have on the well being of individuals, including themselves, discussing how once something is posted online, it is there forever.
Years 5 & 6, developed pledges after discussing the barriers that prevent people being themselves online and how they can offer a range of strategies to help make the internet a better place for all people.
