Reception- Week beginning 25th March

This week we are learning about Easter. We will be talking about why and how we celebrate this special occasion. We will be looking at how it links to spring, new life and even why we give chocolate eggs! We will be listening to and reading the Easter story. 

You could talk about what you are going to do over the Easter holidays and how you celebrate Easter as a family.

There will be a range of creative activities on offer this week that are linked to Easter. This will involve card and basket making, decorating eggs and baking.

In mathematics we are exploring 2D and 3D shapes. We will be using these to make models, patterns and printing. 

You could look around your home and see if you can identify different shapes.
