Reception-week beginning 4th March

Date: 1st Mar 2024 @ 8:32am

This week we are going to be learning about road safety and people who help us to cross the road. We will be writing about about our school patrol helper and how we can keep safe on roads. We will be developing our communication and language skills by looking at scenarios and talking about dangers that we see and how we can keep safe.

You could help at home by going for a walk, looking at road signs and finding safe places to cross.

In mathematics we are continuing to learn about the numbers 9 and 10. We will be subiting, looking at pairs of numbers that make 10 and recalling facts that we have learnt. We will be representing 9 and 10 with different objects and using 10 frames and mathematical equipment.

You could help at home by counting forwards and backwards to 10, finding numbers 9 and 10 around your home and in the local environment.

During our outdoor learning session we looked for signs of spring. We looked at buds, shoots and some flowers. We used chalk to represent what we could see.
