Nursery Week Beginning 12th May 2025

Date: 8th May 2025 @ 12:00pm

This week we are going to read the story ‘Rosie’s Walk’ by Pat Hutchins. We will focus on positional language and make obstacle courses to direct our friends around.

We will also consider how each character may feel at different points in the story and write speech bubbles for both Rosie and the fox.

At home – Can you make up an obstacle course with your family and use words such as ‘past’, ‘around’, ‘behind’ and ‘through?’

Perhaps you could take it in turns to hide a toy and direct your family to find it.

Continuing our exploration of 2D and 3D shapes, we will be continuing and making our own repeating shape patterns.

At home - What patterns can you see around you?

During our outdoor learning session, we went on a minibeast hunt. We found spiders, woodlice, beetles, butterflies and a very big slug!

Our rhyme this week is Hey Diddle Diddle.
