Upcoming Dates for your Diary
Festive Friday
Our Festive Friday is going to be held on Friday 8th December 2023. This event is held during the school day and each child who purchases a ticket will visit our festive room and play each of our festive games to win prizes with over half of the games guaranteed to win a prize. All children will receive a small treat from FOWSA and be entered into a raffle even if they choose not to take part in Festive Friday.
Tickets cost £5.50 per child and must be purchased online. To purchase a ticket please log on to www.pta-events.co.uk/fowsaformby and visit our online shop. Sales will open at 12 noon on Monday 13th November 2023 and will close at 12 noon on 1st December 2023 to allow our elves time to shop for all those participating.
As this event is held during the school day, FOWSA would like all children to have the opportunity to take part in this event if they would like to, so we have decided to add the option to gift a Festive Friday ticket to another child if you would like to. This will be a separate option at the checkout and completely voluntary. Thank you.
If you would like your child to participate but are experiencing any difficulties please approach the school office in confidence before the 1st December 2023.
Thank You,
FOWSA

Our Festive Friday was a huge success! Thank you to everyone that took part in the event, the children absolutely loved it. A really big thank you to everyone involved in making Festive Friday happen, for making donations of items to use on our stalls and for buying goodie bags. Thanks especially to our volunteers for giving up so many hours of their own time to set up the event, run stalls on the day, shop for gifts, wrap gifts, label tombolas, make up hampers, make reindeer food, hand draw and label the goodie bags and even look after our giant elf until we adopted him off at the fair! Thank you all!

Choose some sweets from our sweet stall,
Adopt a teddy,
Guess the elf's birthday to win the giant elf,
Pick up a bag of reindeer food,
Have two goes on our bottle tombola,

Have two goes on our random tombola,

School Trip to See Aladdin at the Atkinson
This year we were able to organise a trip to the pantomime to see Aladdin at the Atkinson with all of the children from Woodlands. This trip had been delayed for a few years thanks to covid but it was well worth the wait!
Thank you to everyone who bought tickets to see the pantomime and special thanks to those who also donated towards tickets for other children. You donated an amazing £2744.22 towards the cost of the pantomime and FOWSA contributed the rest of the money towards tickets and coaches (£1759.95).
It was a fantastic end to the term and all of the children had an amazing time at the pantomine.
Thank you to everyone for contributing and making this trip possible.
