Nursery Week Beginning 13th October 2025

Date: 9th Oct 2025 @ 4:11pm

This week we are continuing to think about our whole school book 'The Invisible' by Tom Percival. We will discuss the theme of the story and link it to kindness and being helpful. We will relate this to how we can be kind and helpful to our friends and teachers in Nursery. We will also be creating some artwork for the story, developing both our creative and fine motor skills.

We will also be noticing and talking about the changing seasons. We will discuss the autumn colours that we can see around us.

During our outdoor learning session, we noticed the different colours of the leaves. We sorted them according to their colour.

At home - Perhaps you could go for an autumn walk. What colours can you see? You might spot some birds or other creatures.  Can you talk about them?

In maths, we are going to continue our learning about pattern. We will use loose parts and natural materials to copy and create our own patterns.

At home -  Can you spot any patterns around you? Perhaps you could find some natural objects (such as pine cones, leaves and conkers) and make your own pattern.
