Nursery Week Beginning 14th September 2026

Welcome back! The children have settled in so well to Nursery and have been exploring our setting and making new friends. 

This week, we will be thinking about ourselves and some of the things that we enjoy doing both at home and at Nursery. We will be playing lots of getting to know you circle games. We will soon learn the names of all of our friends in our class.

We are reading one of our favourite stories 'Hairy McClary' by Linley Dodd. We will talk about the story, retell it to our friends and sequence the events in it.

In maths, we will begin to learn and join in with some counting rhymes and songs. At tidy up times we will also be learning to sort items into the correct boxes.

At home - talk about what you enjoy doing at Nursery. Can you remember the names of some of the friends that you have made?

Our rhyme of the week is 'Humpty Dumpty.'
