Nursery Week Beginning 19th January 2026

This week, we are continuing to read the traditional tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We will discuss the setting of the story and we will use pictures to retell it. We will listen to alternative versions of the story comparing what is the same and what is different. We will also make up our own versions of the story and act them out with our friends.

At home - Have you got a favourite story? Can you make up your own version to tell to your grown up?

In maths, we are looking at 2D shapes. We will focus on circles, investigating and talking about their properties. We will look at a piece of artwork by Wassily Kandinsky 'Squares with Concentric Circles.' We will paint our own pieces of art in the style of Kandinsky.
