Nursery Week Beginning 19th May 2025

Date: 15th May 2025 @ 3:36pm

This week we will be finishing off our topic about farms by thinking about where our food comes from. We will be discussing the different food groups and sorting the food in our farm shop according to whether it is a fruit, a vegetable or dairy product.

After reading the story 'Rosie's Walk' by Pat Hutchins we are going to draw maps of the walk that Rosie went on, including some of the things that she saw in the farmyard.

At home - Perhaps you could draw a map of a walk that you have been on? What did you see? What will you include on your map?

In maths we are going to compare the weight of different objects. We will use balance scales to compare which object is heavier or lighter. We will use the language 'heavier than,' 'lighter than' and 'balance.'

On World Bee Day on Tuesday, we learned about bees and where they live. We painted our own buzzy bee pictures.

Our rhyme of the week is Little Bo Peep.
