Nursery Week Beginning 19th October 2026

Date: 14th Oct 2026 @ 2:35pm

During our phonics sessions, we have been developing our listening skills. This week we will go on a listening walk and listen very carefully to all the different sounds that we can hear.

At home - What sounds can you hear? What sounds can you make using objects that you find around your home? Can you make different sounds if you shake or tap your object? How could you make the sound louder or quieter?

In maths, we are going to continue looking at and making our own repeating patterns. We will also be learning and singing some counting songs.

At home - Can you remember some of the counting songs that we sing in Nursery? Can you teach them to your family?

Our rhyme of the week is Rain, Rain Go Away.
