Nursery Week Beginning 23rd February 2026

Date: 11th Feb 2026 @ 5:18pm

This week we are starting our new theme - Healthy Me. We will explore a selection of fruit and vegetables using our senses to discuss what they look, feel and smell like. We will also look at where our food comes from and we will plant some seeds.

At home - Talk about the fruit and vegetables that you eat. What do they look, feel, smell and taste like? Do you have a favourite?

The first story to be introduced will be another traditional tale The Enormous Turnip. We will predict what we think the story is about and what may happen in it. In the story, the characters help each other to pull the turnip out of the ground. We will link this to Nursery and discuss ways in which we can work together and help each other.

In maths, we are thinking about the number 4. We will find 4 around the provision in Nursery and we will place objects on the 5 frame, noticing that it is nearly full.
