Nursery Week Beginning 23rd June 2025
Date: 18th Jun 2025 @ 9:40am
This week we are continuing to read the story 'Milton's Suitcase Adventure' by Diane Dsitefano and talking about what Milton did while on holiday and what he saw there. We will be drawing and annotating our own pictures about the story.
At home - Can you talk about a holiday or a day out that you remember? What did you do? What did you see?
In maths, we are going to explore the capacity of a variety of different size and shape containers. We will predict which container we think will hold the least/ most and test our predictions by directly comparing and pouring water from one container to the other. We will use the language 'holds more', 'holds less,' 'full' and 'empty.'
At home - Find some different shaped containers. Which do you think holds the most water? How could you find out?
During our outdoor learning session, we collected different objects and put them into our pot to make a summer potion. We found a selection of leaves of different colours, shapes and sizes as well as long grasses and flower petals. Then we thought of lots of different magic words that we could say to make our summer spell as we stirred our potion.
Our rhyme this week is Two Little Dickie BIrds.
