Nursery Week Beginning 27th April 2026

Date: 24th Apr 2026 @ 12:10pm

Continuing our theme Creepy Crawlies, this week we are reading the story 'Matisse's Magical Trail' by Tim Hopgood. We will look at and discuss the front cover, making predictions about what the book might be about. We will learn songs and facts about snails and we may even get to see some snails in our school environment.

At home - Can you find any snails in your garden or in the park? What do you notice? Can you see any patterns on their shell?

In maths, we are going to continue our learning about shape. We will look for different shapes in our environment. We will be introduced to spirals, noticing them on snails' shells and we will practise drawing our own spiral patterns.

At home - What shapes can you see around you?

Our rhyme of the week is Little Miss Muffett.
