Nursery Week Beginning 29th June 2026

Date: 24th Jun 2026 @ 5:36pm

Continuing our theme about under the sea, this week we are reading the book 'Commotion in the Ocean,' by Giles Andreae and David Wojtowycz. We will look at the front cover and make predictions about what the book may be about and where it is set. We will also look at any unusual vocabulary such as 'commotion' and make suggestions as to what it could mean. We will look closely at some of the creatures in the book finding out what they are like and where they live.

At home - Have you got a favourite sea creature? Could you find out some information about it? What does it look like? What does it eat?

In maths, we are going to be learning some positional language. We will make up our own obstacle courses and direct our friends using words such as 'over', 'under', 'through', 'behind' and 'infront of.'

To celebrate the summer and the warm weather, we made our own ice cream parlour. We had great fun scooping and mixing.
