Continuing our theme Under the Sea, this week we will be investigating floating and sinking. We will predict which items we think will float and which items we think will sink. Then we will sort them into sets according to whether they float or sink.

At home – Can you find some items that float and some that will sink?

We will also be looking at the setting of our story 'Maui Hooks the Islands' by Gabrielle Ahul'i. We will find out where Hawaii is and locate it on a map. We will talk about what it is like and how we would get there. We will ask questions such as what is the weather like and what is the food like in Hawaii?
