We just want to take this opportunity to everyone who donated items to Southport Foodbank as part of out Harvest Festival appeal; we have collected an amazing amount & are sure Southport Foodbank will be thrilled when they come to pick everything up next week.
Our Harvest Festival assembly was lead by our Rev. Harvie Nicol from St. Luke's Church; our children sat enthralled as he described the plight of refugees having to flee their homes & leave friends & family behind. He reminded them of how simple acts of kindness, like the gifts to the foodbank, can make such a difference to people's lives. As Harvie said, they are little parcels of love.
Next week our House Captains will be visiting Southport Foodbank to help weigh, sort & make up food parcels for families who need support; they will then lead an assembly to tell the rest of the school what happened to the food they all donated.
