Dear Parents & Carers
We’ve had increasing numbers of Covid-19 cases, particularly in our older aged group classes. Last week, on the advice of local authority public health team, we sent out a letter asking parents of children in 5/6P & 6R to take their children for a PCR test.
We are still having an increasing number of cases in school & as a result have been advised to send out the following advice to all our parents & carers from nursery to Y6:
Please be vigilant around symptoms in your children and access PCR testing for testing for them if they develop symptoms
You can book a test by visiting nhs.uk/coronavirus or calling 119. Tests can be booked at local test sites, or a home test kit can be requested if you cannot get to a test site.
Please continue to encourage hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene at home.
In school, adults and children wash / sanitise their hands on the following occasions:
In school, staff ensure good respiratory hygiene by promoting the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ approach.
In school, staff ensure that classrooms are well-ventilated at all times.
Please encourage adults and secondary school age pupils within your household to access asymptomatic LFD testing (information on how to access these for household members can be found here: Regular rapid lateral flow coronavirus (COVID-19) tests - NHS (www.nhs.uk) )
Thank you for your support with this. Hopefully, by working together we will be able to avoid putting further measures into place in school.
Yours sincerely
