Well the day has finally arrived & we've had to say goobye to Paddy - our wonderful lollipop-person. Paddy has been a fixture outside the school gates for the past few years - he quickly became part of the Woodlands' family. Always cheerful, Paddy has a wicked sense of humour too - his positive attitude is such a good example to all of us. He treats everyone with kindness & respect, but has never been averse in reminding people when their parking is unreasonably poor/ridiculous/appalling (delete as appropriate). He has a phenomenal memory & knows so many of our children & parents by name. I know we’ll see him out & about in the village (probably in Costa or Cafe Nero!) so we’ll be able to catch up with him & ask his opinion on the form of his beloved Everton FC.
Everyone at Woodlands would like to wish him well in his retirement – we will miss him.
