Dear Parents & Carers
We’ve had another wonderful week here at Woodlands. The children continue to impress us with their attitude towards learning, their outstanding behaviour & their all-round enthusiasm for whatever they are doing!
Here’s this week’s ‘nudges’.

We have decided to hold our sports days this year with no parents present. I know it’s a decision that will disappoint a lot of people, but we have made it with the best of intentions. There has been an increasing stream of notifications over the past few weeks of primary & secondary schools in Sefton having to send classes/bubbles of children home to isolate. We have worked so hard for so long to keep everyone safe at Woodlands that it would be a shame if we let things slip now with the end, hopefully, in sight.
This week, no classes achieved 100% in their attendance this week. Our overall attendance for this week has risen to 96.7%, this still needs to improve (anything under 97% is poor).
This week’s attendance by class:
Red Class 98.9%
Blue Class 91.1%
Green Class 95.9%
Purple Class 99.3%
Yellow Class 93.1%
3A 96.8%
3/4M 98.6%
4G 96.3%
5D 95.1%
5/6P 98.7%
6R 97.9%
We had 7 classes who had no late marks this week: Red Class, Blue Class, Green Class, Yellow Class, 3/4M, 4G, 5/6P & 6R. There were only 5 late marks across the whole school, but to be honest, this should be zero.
Next week, our class photographs are being taken on Tuesday 22nd June – that’s all classes from nursery to Y6. We also have our nursery parents evenings on Tuesday 22nd June (Mrs Jones) & Wednesday 23rd (Mrs Simpson), both from 1.30pm-5.30pm, both by telephone (don’t forget, the phone call will come from an unknown/withheld number).
Take care
