I am writing to inform you that there has been a change to Woodlands’ Governing Body. Unfortunately, Mrs Karen Nodding, our Chair of Governors, has stepped down due to ill health.
On behalf of the pupils, parents, staff &, governors, I would like to thank Karen for her service to Woodlands. Her dedication to our school has been evident over the 9 years she has been a member of our governing body, serving as Chair for more than 6 years. Karen’s opinion was one I, & the whole of the governing body, always valued – her contributions to our governors’ meetings were always thoughtful & reliable. Karen was well aware of the pressures that working in a school can place upon staff; our teachers & TAs were always very appreciative of her support. She oversaw many changes to how our governing body operates, always ensuring that any decisions made were always in the best interests of the children at Woodlands Primary School.
At the full governors meeting held last evening, Mr Jay Mangan, one of our parent governors, was elected as the new Chair.
Once again, I would like to thank Karen for all that she has done for Woodlands. She will be missed.
