We’ve had a fabulous World Book Day with so many characters on view: numerous Gansta Grannies plotting their next series of wicked schemes; herds of Where’s Wallies (& Wandas) trying to make themselves anonymous amongst the other children; several Harry Potters & Hermiones casting spells surreptitiously upon unsuspecting members of staff.
Teachers swapped classes for 20 minutes to share their favourite books; amongst a whole raft of titles read to pupils were ‘Gangsta Granny’, ‘Green Eggs & Ham’, ‘The Snail & the Whale’, ‘Itzy Bitzy House’ & ‘Revolting Rhymes’.
The children in each class were also introduced to our latest whole school novel: ‘Tuesday’ by David Wiesner. Next week each phase’s English lessons will be based around this rather weird & wonderful tale.
We hope you enjoy seeing some photos from the day.
